Installation

  1. In Microsoft Power Automate, navigate to ‘Data’ > ‘Custom connectors

  2. In the upper right corner, find ‘New custom connector’ and ‘Import an OpenAPI file’ in the dropdown

  3. Specify the Connector name to be ‘SMS for Power Automate’ for your reference in Power Automate

  4. Click ‘Import’ and locate to open the file you downloaded from this page above titled ‘sms_for_power_automate-v2.swagger.json

  5. Click ‘Continue

  6. In the upper right corner, click ‘Create connector

✅ You’ve successfully installed the SMS for Power Automate connector.

Quick Start

To add SMS for Power Automate to your flow:

  1. Click ‘New Step

  2. In the connector groups select ‘Custom’, locate the SMS for Power Automate connector

  3. Select the 'Send SMS' action

  4. The first time you add the 'Send SMS' step to your flow a prompt will appear to enter your API credentials. We recommend naming this connection after your messaging provider i.e. Bulletin, eTXT, MultiTXT, Grouptext or MessageMedia. Please find platform-specific details for your service below:

    Add your API key as generated by the web portal and save the connection by clicking 'Create'.

    To generate your API key please head to your service's key creation page in the web portal link below:

    Add your API key as generated by the web portal and API secret separated by a $ symbol (no spaces) and save the connection by clicking 'Create'. Please note this must be a Basic Authentication key.

  5. Finally, in the message configurator select your messaging service from the dropdown and enter the details of your message in the 'To' and 'Message' fields.
